I am Nathan Thimme, a dedicated player and first-year coach here at Cincy Elite. As I go into my fifth year playing competitive volleyball, I strive to make a positive impact on the younger athletes and help them grow both on and off the court.
As a player, I have been fortunate enough to accomplish many things over the past five years. I have received first team all conference each of the past two years, received honorable mention all region each of the past two years, and led my conference in blocks each of the past two years.
I have also had the privilege to see firsthand how great coaches can shape a player not only technically, but also as a person. Those experiences have shown me that the number one priority for a coach is to develop confidence, leadership, teamwork, and a great work ethic.
From there, building a great defense is key. As a middle blocker myself, I strongly believe that the key to building a great team begins with having a great defense. I also feel that every volleyball player should be well rounded and prepared to contribute wherever their team needs them.
I am excited to bring my experience and passion for the game to this 16 Black team. I cannot wait to see how far we will go this season!
