KoJak Wells

Head Coach · 12-Black

With over a decade of playing and coaching experience, Coach Wells brings an competitive pedigree and energizing mindset to the 11U Nationals program. His journey includes competing at the collegiate level for the Men’s Club Volleyball team at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, followed by years of volunteer coaching for local Knoxville high schools and Club Volleyball. Upon moving to Cincinnati, Coach Wells embedded himself in the local volleyball community—coaching recreation leagues, serving as a dedicated board member for the Kings Knights youth volleyball program, and most recently head coaching the 10U team for the Cincinnati Volleyball Academy (CVA).

His coaching philosophy centers on an "Athlete First, Volleyball Player Second" framework, prioritizing raw athleticism, explosive movement, and a fierce, positive aggression over rigid, traditional technicality. At the core of his court culture is the proprietary "0-0 Mindset," a mental training system that challenges athletes to compete with identical focus and intensity regardless of the score. Coach Wells prepares athletes to dominate on the national stage while building life-long competitive confidence.

Off the court, Coach Wells is a Financial Strategist in Corporate R&D at Procter & Gamble, a top business graduate from UT Knoxville, and a recipient of prestigious corporate leadership awards. He uses this sharp background to bring an elite level of analytical strategy and tactical precision to youth sports. Coach Wells is also the proud father of a club volleyball player giving him a deep personal investment in the development of the sport.
